Time to Expose!

Lately, I’ve been wrestling with the Church’s role in confronting and exposing social, political, and global issues. I’ve asked myself if the Church should even be talking about issues like election fraud, experimental vaccines, human-trafficking, transgender ideology, critical race theory, and other topics that seem to be outside the realm of “religion” and the place of the Church in society.

Generally speaking, pastors and churches seem to have “decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified (1 Cor 2:2, ESV).” Therefore, things like business, politics, medicine, academics, media, etc, have become taboo discussion topics inside the church as they don’t seem to have any relevance to Jesus and his mission to save people from their sins. It’s like the old adage, “Never discuss religion and politics.” But aren’t these the very things we SHOULD be talking about? Politics and religion in particular have a profound influence on the quality of our lives on Earth and our eternal destination.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Church is absolutely responsible for speaking to these issues because the Bible speaks to them. Although Jesus primary mission was to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, he also verbally and publicly confronted the ruling elites of the Jewish people. He exposed them publicly as the children of the devil (John 8:44). When we move away from the subject of Jesus work, we see both the Old and New Testament writers and prophets dealing with cultural issues, confronting governmental structures.

The general principle I see in scripture is that the Church is called to be light in the world and to expose. We expose two things: 1) God’s activity in the Earth and, 2) Satan’s schemes to deceive the people of the Earth. Ephesians 5:11 tells us to, “Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.” Do you see that? EXPOSE THEM! We don’t just ignore evil in the world because what we don’t expose, we accept. The Luciferians who currently rule the world system believe in exposing their plans and deeds because if nobody confronts them they don’t bear the guilt for their evil but rather those who refuse to confront them bear the guilt of consenting to their evil. What a sobering thought that the modern church may have inadvertently participated in evil by not speaking out against it and exposing it. We, the Church, are called to expose evil on four levels.

The four levels where Satan works to deceive and bind are the same areas where God works to bring light and freedom. They are individual, church, nation, and global.

  • Individual: Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
  • Church: Colossians 2:8 “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
  • Nations: Revelation 20:3: “The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore…”
  • Global: Revelation 12:9: “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

At our current moment in Church history, dealing with the deception of the individual has been the primary focus and I’m not sure that shouldn’t be the focus of the Church’s efforts to spread redemption. Salvation happens one soul at a time. The problem, as I see it, is that the Church has neglected to expose deception at the other three levels. While there are pockets of believers and some para-church organizations that have attempted to shed light on a variety of social, political, and global aspects of Satan’s strategy, their efforts have generally not made their way into the mainstream of the global church consciousness. That being the case, the majority of the Church continues to operate under the influence of those three levels of deception. What a shame that the glorious Body of Christ which is “the pillar and ground of the truth” still slumbers in deception completely unaware of what Satan is doing to weaken the Church and destroy men’s lives. However, with God there is hope that we can break through these additional layers of deception.

Today we are seeing a rapid Great Awakening on Earth, though is seems to be happening a little slower in the Church. What will it take for the Church to wake up? First, Pastors need to educate themselves outside of the mainstream media and start sharing the truths and evidence that God is exposing on these other levels. As pastors speak to these issues within a biblical framework and worldview, they create a climate where believers feel it is okay to discuss issues of politics, culture, finance, academics, etc, in light of biblical truth. Secondly, believers need to be educated and start sharing their newly found reality.

We are living in a time of great exposure leading into a great harvest of souls. It’s time for the Church to wake up and start exposing the hidden works of darkness on every level and be the Light of the World!
